My name is Kristin Schreeder, and I'm writimg this om :behalf of my mother,
Marguerite P. Schroeder,whe owns property at 461 Gr:if'fith Point Road, Nerdland,
Washington. I live a.nd work in Seattle with Marguerite wh0 is a retired
professer. We received. the blue card inferming us of the public hearing sched-
uled. ~r 1/21/09 en t/t7109. This card invited us to review'the Preliminary
Draft SMP ot:lline. We are net en the intermet'a t this time amdw0uld likely not
have had the time to review all 200 pages before the meeting if' we had been. I

The blue card statss that, ".. .abeut 2 yea.rs ef preparatiā¬ln..... was
spent on this document and yet I was informed. by one of the citizens that
made cemments at the meet~ng that residemtial preperty oners were purpesely
excluded from any of the preliminary discussioms that went into the draft of
this d@cument. It seems that many citizens are being denied a voice in legisla-
ti0l'l: the. twill grea. tly affect their pr@perty rights and their lives.
It was made clear at the meetimg that the DOD was mot there to answer
questions but simply to hear commeats. I would ask if there was, or will ever
be, a question amd answer session. I would apprecia.te timely notification of
amy and all public meetimgs in the future. I believe it is putting the cart
befCJre the horse to ask citizens t. comment when. they don't have adequate
informs. tion te develop their commeJlts. I am comcened -about the lack ef pub-
lic inclusion and discourse with regard te this complioa ted, both to access
and te understand, decument.

the beauty of their shoreline. They view it as a living organism that needs

Family Residential waterfront preperty ener to care for their beach.
Therefore, I believe., these preperty ewners are perfectly suited. te be the
