My property is located at 911 SouthPoint Road. My comments to the proposed legislation are provided as follows: 1. After paying taxes on my shoreline property for so many years, I am shocked that this legislation will restrict use of my own property. 2. The new shoreline plan will only allow me to cut 20% of the trees and brush in the 160-foot setback area; I will have no view at all. This is far too restrictive! 3. Having to get a conditional use permit to build a house on my property is far too restrictive, costly and time-consuming and I object to it very much. The County had 10% of the shoreline showing as 'natural" in the present plan, now they say 40% is 'natural'. That is ridiculous and takes away from the usage of my property. 4. This plan will not allow me to access my beach with stairs. I believe the State Constitution allows me to use my property fully, including getting down to use the beach. This is un-constitutional. 5. Under this new plan, ifmy home burns down, I will not be able to rebuild it in the same place. That is unfair and unjust. Shame on you! 6. This plan is so complicated and hard to read. Public documents 'should be readable and totally understandable. You are railroading us! ! I hope you will take these comments seriously and amend the proposed legislation accordingly. Thank you for your time, Diane Williams 1/29/2009
