Dear Jefferson County Commissioner:
Please amend the draft shoreline master plan to reflect the strong public sentiment
that rejects the industrial, commercial, activities and carefully regulates residential
development.
We are far from addressing the man made damage inflected on the the Sound and Hood
Canal. Additional relaxation of the presently inadequate regulations will only further
the damage to the environment that many gain their livelihoods from and many more seek
their solace in. In the short term relaxed development would probably never be
recovered.
I brought property at 210 Shine Rd. in 1995 and built a home on a previously used
sight . This home has a directly West view of the present F.Hill works - this is not the
most attractive of sights and its impact only visually worsens as the pit is exhausted.
How will the Olympic Pen. come to be known ? Welcome to Fred Hill Materials gateway to
other outstanding visual SIGHTS LOST because the planning had no sense of the
responsibility for the present or the future.
