Subject: Update the Shoreline Management Plan for Jefferson County
Commissioners:
I am sorry I missed the meeting last week. I understand that there were not many people who supported
the Update for Shoreline Management.
Those of us who lobby for environmental issues dropped the ball in our own backyards. We all love to
think the sea will take care of itself, but we all know that is not true. Weare the stewards who can't let
pollution as usual continue to kill off our precious local environment.
I support strong protections for our shorelines and the habitat of our shore and water wildlife.
Thank you for your work on this issue.
