I find it very strange that you want to revamp a perfectly good Shoreline Master Plan. The present one works fairly well. So many rules and regulations on private property can be more of a hinderance to the whole community rather than a help. Who is going to be maintaining the setback land that you seem to want to control. Yes, the homeowner or landowner. As you must know, thorny bushes must be thinned out regularly, otherwise it will take out any other natural flora or animal pathways. Making a 30% increase in the natural area is crazy. This will make maintaining this area impossible, out of control. As a homeowner, my stairs go directly to the beach and will remain that way. With your plan, this will make it hard to stay friends with the neighbors that don't have stairs. How could I not allow them to use them if they can't have any stairs. It is just unjust. If my home needs to be rebuilt, I have always assumed that I could rebuild it exactly like it is. This would be unconstitutional not to allow me this option. This new plan was designed not for the people of the govemment but so that we can see how much you work in your offices trying to think of better ways to do things. You MISSED ON THIS ONEI We don't need this revamping nor do we want this. Please put our tax paying money on a different project that is . probably needed more. The schools really need a lot of work, maybe this would be a better spot for your hard working thoughts. Thank you for listening, Sincerely, Debbi Stevens 2/2/2009
