From: Dan Nasman [mailto:dnasman@olympus.net] sent: Thursday, January 29, 2009 3:59 PM To: Michelle McConnell Subject: Ocean Grove beach access stairway Michelle, I'm the manager of the Ocean Grove Homeowners Association. I attenoed your early meetings and, as an individual, I am very supportive ofthe intentions of the PDSMP. I discount the alarmist mailing that I received from Barbara Bradford but she raised one issue that I would like to have clarified before comments close tomorrow. Ocean Grove currently has 77 residential structures and the possibility of another 30 or so. We own a parcel, including 200' of tidelands at Adelma Beach. It is high bluff and we have a stairway that has been in existence for several years. The stairway also serves an adjacent property owner (by title agreement) and guests of (4) Bay Cottages. What implications does thePDSMP have if we need to repair (or replace) the stairway? Is Bradford's statement that there is a 12 foot height limit accurate? (I don't know the height of ours but it is probably close to that.) I tried to find guidance in the document but I don't want to trust my reading alone. Thanks for any clarification that you can provide. Dan Nasman, Manager Ocean Grove Association P.O.Box 519. Port Townsend WA 98368 360.385.7875 I realize that we may have to get shoreline permits, including permits from the state. Will that still be possible.
