Dear Michelle,
We are waterfront owners and we vehemently oppose to several issues in the Shoreline Management Act:
Property owners being denied the right to rebuild their waterfront homes if they are destroyed by fire is an
injustice and will probably end up in court costing the county much money.
Changing to a 150 ft setback which will deny some owners the right to build any closer to the water than 150. This
will cause some waterfront properties to become.worthless. The county will suffer a substantionalloss of tax
dollars and probably cause county layoffs.
