Subject: mining along shoreline of Hood Canal
To the Jefferson County Planning Commission:
Please do not allow mining and other industrial activities on our shorelines of the
Hood Canal. We are blessed with this wondrous system of waterways of the Puget
Sound. This area is of vital importance ecologically. The Sound has been so stressed
ecologically by pollution and other activities. Jefferson County can set an example to
protect our sections of this magnificent ecosystem.
