Support for the adoption of Shoreline Master Program Update and support of the additional
safeguards for development of nonconforming lots
Dear Sirs:
We want to write in support of the County's shoreline management plan as well as the additional
safeguards for development of nonconforming lots. In these uncertain times for both the economy and
the health of our population and environment it is especially important to safeguard our shoreline habitat
and water quality. That includes salmon friendly docks, piers and boat launches and restoration of
damaged shorelines. We believe that we all have a responsibility to be stewards of the land not just the
property owners and feel sure that appropriate safeguards can be balanced by careful and reasonable
use of their lands. Our thanks to the Planning Commission for their efforts.
Sincerely,
Sue Milliken & Kelly Dodson
