Shoreline Master Plan
Please amend the Shoreline Master Plan to prohibit mining along or near the shoreline of
Hood Canal or any other waterway under your jurisdiction. Gravel mining has been allowed
in other areas of the county, not abutting waterways, despite valid concerns of many
Jefferson county residents. Please stop giving carte blanche to high profit,
environmentally destructive industries that are of very little, if any, benefit to this
county.
