Dear commission,
Please be advised that I am another of our counties citizen's who is interested in protecting our sensitive
coastal environment and it's dependent species from the effects of mining. I appeal you to amend the
preliminary draft shoreline master plan to prohibit mining activities in these areas. I believe that the
Hood Canal has had enough trauma to recover from without introducing mining and the many after
effects of such activities.

The great Way is easy,
yet people prefer the side paths.
Be aware when things are out of balance.
Stay centered within the Way.
When rich speculators prosper
While farmers lose their land;
when government officials spend money
on weapons instead of cures;
when the upper class is extravagant and irresponsible
while the poor have nowhere to turn-
all this is robbery and chaos.
It is not in keeping with the Way.
