Statement of Issue: Change Order No. 4 with Seton Construction of Port Townsend,
Washington.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's &t Con's: This change order includes the increase in
unit price for bid item 37 air vac and odor control, addition of a parallel 6-inch LPS
line from east side of BFtR alignment to Cedar Ave and Mason St.; and 2-inch LPS line
going north along Property 14 (Burgers Landing) which will serve properties 14, 16
(Stachworks) and 19 (Better Buds).
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The amount for Change Order No. 4 is
$166,076.02. The contract amount will increase from $5,109,616.50 to
$5,275,692.52. NOTE, the cost includes 9.1% sales tax. The project is funded at 100%
by both Department of Commerce and the Department of Ecology combine funding.
Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board authorize Change Order
No. 4 with Seton Construction, and return one original to Public Works for further
processing.
