We work with 14 of them! We are excited to share that Jefferson County has approved funding to extend the trail from Four Corners to Anderson Lake State Park's property. Each year, hundreds of thousands of locals, regional and national visitors, as well as international tourists ride, walk, run, roll, and trot along the Olympic Discovery Trail. Last summer alone, guests from 87 Washington cities, 38 states, and five continents, visited the Olympic Discovery Trail. We still have many miles of trails to build and we need your help to finish the Olympic Discovery Trail. This year, we're lining up speakers who will do just that. We hope you'll join us on Friday evenings in Port Angeles during January. In February, we'll talk travel on Thursday evenings in Sequim. We hope you'll find these travel events a vicarious bit of fun in the dark depths of winter! Suggested donation at these events is $10 and we accept credit cards. Do you have a travel tale to share? This is in the Olympic Discovery Trail east section. It will take a while to clean the fall and repair the railing, so be careful if you choose to use this section of the trail. There will be an upcoming closure to the Olympic Adventure Trail just east of the new Whiskey Creek bridge. This will be for timber harvest activities. The closure should be short in duration but there will not be an option for a detour. There will be signage posted. For the very latest on trail closures, please check out our Facebook page.
