JEFFERSON COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION Regular Meeting – November 6th, 2024

GENERAL UPDATES
3) Planning Commission Updates
a. Commissioner Schwartz: South County Full time deputy was approved on Monday. Status
on Flood Ordinance, public hearing has been extended by the BoCC. Expressed concern
over the status of the Pleasant Harbor Master Plan Resort. Commissioner Schwartz’s
update, in its entirety, can be reviewed here at the following time stamp: 01:55.
4) DCD Staff and Director Updates
a. Brief comment on PC meeting format and purpose of formal public comment period.
REGULAR BUSINESS
Given the unique nature of this meeting as a type of “townhall” gathering and to best
understand the proceedings, the video recording of the meeting, in its entirety, can be

5) Public Participation and Outreach Implementation
a. Review of Public Participation Plan
b. “Town Hall” meeting format with open discussion between Planning Commission and
attendees, supported with Staff input. Discussion was focused on:
i. Reaching underserved populations
ii. Encouraging participation in the comprehensive plan update
iii. Reflecting public participation in the plan
iv. Any items important to community participants that may be relevant to updating
County goals and policies relating to a Comprehensive Plan periodic update.
