IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Swansonville Road, County Road No. 514009, M.P. 1.20 to 1.40, be improved as
follows:
A combination of roadside safety improvements will be implemented at this location, including new guardrail, rumble strips, and
warning signs.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriation from the officially adopted road fund budget and based on the County
Engineer's estimate is hereby made in the amounts and for the purpose shown:

Project Resolution for Swansonville Road MP 1.2 to MP 1.4 Safety
Improvements, County Road No. 514009, CR1829
Statement of Issue: A project resolution is necessary to create county road project
number CR1829, Swansonville Road MP 1.2 to MP 1.4 Safety Improvements. Safety
improvement projects are an ongoing component of the Roads program and are
included in the 2009 Annual Construction Program.
Analysis/Strategic Goals/Pro's & Con's: The curve between milepost 1.2 and 1.4 on
Swansonville Road has a record of recurring accidents. The Public Works Dept. is
proposing to implement a combination of roadside safety improvements, including 500
lineal ft. of new guardrail, rumble strips, and additional warning signs, for the
purpose of reducing the number and severity of accidents at this location. This
project satisfies strategic goals 1, 3 and 9.
Fiscal Impact/Cost Benefit Analysis: The total cost for this project is estimated at
$57,500. Local funds will be used for this project.
Recommendation: The Board is requested to approve the project resolution, and
return a copy to Public Works for further processing.
