HSN Advocacy Alerts bring attention to key, actionable opportunities affecting the future of housing in Jefferson County
COMP PLAN UPDATES:
Comprehensive, but Complicated
A process filled with jargon, legal requirements and lots of meetings — for those of us that don’t live and breathe government planning it can be hard to make sense of the process.
Next Monday PT City Council in a joint session with the Planning Commission will review the “preliminary docket” of recommendations for where to focus efforts over the next 6 months
to a year. We don't promise it will be a fun time (glass of wine or playing dance music in the background helps), but to be part of informing city planning and understanding what is
to come, this is the time to pay attention.
This stuff will be discussed for the next several weeks, but if we weren’t clear, the content is dense. So show up Monday and let it soak in, then show up next Monday and be ready to
engage.
Action
Engage in Port Townsend City planning by listening to staff, City Council members and Planning Commissioners discuss specific changes to the Comprehensive Plan.
