SUBJECT: DISCUSSION and POTENTIAL ACTION re: Formation of Public Facilities
District(PFD)
STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
BoCC should consider direction to Prosecutor's Office to initiate formation of a Public Facilities District
(PFD) as recommended by the Healthier Together Task Force and the Port Townsend City Council.
ANALYSIS:
With the LTAC recommendation acted upon, the Jefferson Aquatic Coalition stands ready to initiate
additional fund-raising to supplement initial operations of a PFD.
RECOMMENDATION:
Direct Civil Prosecuting Attorney's office to draft an implementing resolution creating a PFD per RCW
36.100.
