Thanks for the Times reprint in the Astorian. Viewed some of the Feb. Seattle PSP meeting on the internet. Quick question - do you know of anyone involved with SMP or Jefferson County that went or was involved? [MLMi DCD staff is unable to attend due to work load/time limits. Environmental Health Waterprogram Manager Neil Harrington and County Commissioner Phil Johnson have been representing the County. I'm not sure if one/both of them attended the meeting you mention. Was wondering whether anything significant got accomplished (other than a nice social get together, complete with a proximate $5,000 bar bill submitted to the Washington State taxpayers). Thanks for the SMP updates. Where would I find info on wetland borders and encroachment on same? [MLMi Do you mean wetland buffers? See http://www.co.iefferson.wa.us/commdevelopment/ShorelineSMPformaIReview.htm#Meeting Materials & Highlight ~ 1 This week's 3/18 PC meeting will discuss Industrial/Port Development, Forest Practices, and Agriculture. The agenda is online at http://www.co.iefferson.wa.us/commdevelopment/PlanningCommission.htm#Agendas and Minutes The Sunday Peninsula Daily News ran an article about naming the Salish Sea - a collective term to include Puget Sound, Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Strait of Georgia. I can't find it on the PDN website, but here's a similar version from Astoria, Oregon: http://hosted.ap.org/dvnamic/stories/W/WA SALISH SEA WAOL. ?SITE=ORAST&SECTION=ST A TE& TEM PLA TE=DEFAU L T&CTIM E=2009-03-14-11-41-22 Best wishes, Michelle You have received this message as a member of the Jefferson County Shoreline Master Program (SMP) Interested Parties Email Distribution List.
