I am writing this letter in opposition to your newly proposed shoreline set back regulations.
My wife and I have been a Jefferson County waterfront property owners and taxpayers for over thirty
years, and in this time have seen no adverse effect to our shorelines as a result of existing, residential
property shoreline setback requirements.
You have not performed or made us aware of any IIshoreline health" studies, which should be
performed prior to making regulation to IIfix" supposed residential owner caused IIproblem.1I
Petition to state for funding and performance of a study should be made prior to passing any restrictive
regulation such as you have proposed. Because of your failure to present study performance and
results, your set back proposal appears whimsical at best.
