The folks who want to reduce the protection of our shorelines remind me of those who denied global warming and climate change for so long. They would have you deny the science for their personal gain, and that's not fair to the environment and all its inhabitants, including us. Fish farming has been proven toxic to the waters, and produces poor, diseased low quality fish, raised on steroids and antibiotics, suitable only for pet food. Building within 50' of the water increases the runoff of oils, fertilizers, and septic fields into our waters. THIS HAS ALL BEEN PROVEN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. Please do what you must know is the right thing to do-keep our shoreline protections strong-we do not need more developement near the water-any water! Don't cave in to the special interests of developers and profiteers. Don't let them bully you into going backwards. We finally have a national leader with the brains and courage to do the right thing-so please have the moral courage to follow the examples President Obama is setting.
