I would ask you to do the same by prohibiting mining use & development, including conveyors, piers and barge loading structures on conservancy shorelines within Jefferson County. The 1976 Shorelines Hearings Board decision on the Hama Hama pit to pier project in Mason County sets a precedent to avoid such devastation with Hood Canal. I ask you to limit shoreline mining-related activities, including crushing, screening, washing, stockpiling, and loading on ships or barges only within well defined high intensity shoreline zones. Thank you for your attention and consideration. D. Nolan 101 Margaret St Port Ludlow, WA 98365 Download the AOL Classifieds Toolbar for local deals at your fingertips. 6/1512009
