I hope that the county commissioners will consider formulating restriction on mining and barging activities along
Hood Canal so that everyone will understand the environmental considerations of such undertakings. The Pit to
Pier issue has taught us a great deal about how terrible consequences can result from lack of foresight and this is
a good time to clarify.
Thank you for your work and for considering this opinion from the other side of the Canal.
