Dear Planning Commissioners
I am amazed that the shoreline management plan allows for commercial development of
projects like the 'pit to pier' project south of the Hood Canal Bridge. Aside from the unjust
damage to the nearby communities, any accident such as spillage, or barge drifting...and there
will be such accidents, there always are...would pose major damage to a fragile ecosystem,
and permanent damage to a unique Jefferson County resource.
