Shoreline buffers of 150- feet should be reinstated. I understand and respect the concerns of shoreline property owners but science during the last 25 years has demonstrated that we should be constantly exercising caution and restraint on our use of natural systems. They invariably need more protection - not less. Allowing unregulated aquaculture on rural beaches is a dangerous proposition, as is allowing fish- farming pens along local beaches. The experience of diseased fish farms in British Columbia and Norway, as well as the presence of sea lice in fish populations that often follows their establishment, should be argument enough to require careful regulation of all such propositions -- not blanket endoursement. Thank you for the opportunity to comment. Libby Palmer 2336 Kuhn Street Port Townsend, W A 98368 6/15/2009
