While I am sure you are feeling the pressure from the democrat party to reinstate the ISO,' ask yourselves, what would be their position if you were proposing to eliminate all single family homes (which 15, 2009would affect a large amount of democrats supporting the severe restrictions to waterfront property owners) to reinstate the open space that people so rightly deserve. For many waterfront property owners, the ISO' setback is nearly akin to that in that some lots would be unbuildable and on most, the reduction in value and saleability would be devastating. People who trample on the property rights of others without any financial responsibility are the irresponsible ones. As I said in my previous letter to the county, that kind of damage to waterfront property owners whatever in the name of, is inverse condemation and any such action wil have to be fought out in court to determine compensation to those affected. It is always so easy for those unaffected to put others in misery. If they had to pay $20,000 per family to compensate the damages their recommendations caused, would they keep their recommendation? The cost to waterfront property owners will be far larger per family, hundreds of thousands of dollars, the difference between an open water view and a highly restricted view from their property.
