how many times can you flog the same old dead horse? We
thought we had escaped the extremists from Seattle, King &
Snohomish Co. areas, and now all your friends are showing up
over here.
Why??
They don't live here, don't pay the outrageous taxes, don't want
to see houses on a hillside when they cruise the Northwest
waters on their sailboats.
We've done quite a bit of homework since we got here, and even
though we are not owners of waterfront property of any kind,
WE WILL have to pick up the slack in property taxes for the
property you will bring down in value.
We have yet to get ANY scientific evidence that all this govt. B.S.
is even neccessary.
You wasted what? $680,OOO? For what? We'd like to see some
results in writing.
I KNOW all my taxes out here in the boonies go to support all
the "beautiful" people in Pt. Townsend.........but they have no
strict waterfront/shoreline stipulations. As someone who pays
the govt. salaries, if you can't make those arrogant Townsend
folk abide by the same rules, pay their fair share, then find
some really effective politicians who do have the jewels to stand
up to the WHOLE county.
We've not seen ONE argument that all these restrictive changes
are even neccessary.
So when the suits in Olympia say they want to see your SMP?
Just have the common class to say "there are no changes, we
don't need any. So far, so good, no problems."
Let the twits on OUR Capitol Hill go find a hobby, let them
harass people in Bellevue or somewhere.........not much money
in it for you, but maybe you'll earn a little respect in the local
community.
