In particular gravel mining, conveyor belts piers and barge loading facilities that might be constructed wold destroy natural migration and paths and feeding areas afforded to wildlife in the area. The recent closure of the Hood Canal Bridge afforded plenty of time to observe the desert like conditions created by the Fred Hill company above Squamish Harbor. This strip mine is visible to the residents of Shine and Kitsap ounty and impacts greatly their vision of how nature was meant to be seen. I ask you to prohibit mining and development, including conveyors, piers, and barge loading structures on conservancy shorelines within Jefferson County. Sincerely, Ken Hanson 196 Scenic Vw Ln Port Ludlow 98365 6/16/2009
