Good day,
I'm writing to voice my concerns over the proposed Shoreline Master Program update
currently in progress. I believe that the present proposal is too restrictive and sets a
dangerous precedent by eroding the personal property rights of citizens of Jefferson
County.
There is still a lot of time before Jefferson County is required to have an updated SMP
and I feel it would be in the citizens best interest to use the full time frame available
instead of rushing out an overly restrictive plan. The current regulations have been
working well and I feel a common sense update that benefits the people that make their
home in Jefferson County is all that is needed.
