The DOE attempt to restrict to use of private property in Jefferson County cannot be logically
defended. This is put one more "land grab" that the agency
uses to quote "protect" the Sound. The county's consultant has not demonstrated that 1/ there is a
problem on the shorelines & 2/ the proposed 150' setback
Is the solution to the so called "problem. Why is Jefferson County pushing the proposed SMP in
2009 when it has until 2114 for an updated plan?
