Dear Commissioners:
I note on the map you have provided that the shoreline fronting on my wife's and my
property is designated as "Conservancy", vs. most other Residential shoreline property in
Port Ludlow, which is designated "Residential". Does this represent a "taking" of private
property rights and value? If so, please reconsider this designation, as I and my fellow
property owners consider our property to be residential and our property is zoned
residential. (Admittedly, I do not know the difference between Residential and
Conservancy. If you can point me in the right direction here, it would help.)
In addition, I strongly object to the 150 foot buffer decision, and the likely prohibition on
rebuilding in case of substantial loss. This represents another arbitrary "taking" of private
property .
Thank you for your consideration and for your hard work on this difficult and
controversial endeavor.
