Hello Commissioners:
The Transportation Benefit District wouldn't be of much use without a funding mechanism, so I write to say I support an increased sales tax (0.1 %) outside of Port Townsend because everyone
pays it. A car tab only taxes car owners and doesn't tax the tourists, so I don't support it.
Amazing to me that such a sales tax increase of 10 cents on a $100 sale or a $1 on $1000 sale can raise a large sum of money.
