~ Chairman Wanamaker submitted the following resolution and the Clerk of the Board
was instructed to forward same~to the State Highway Commissioner for b,is approval:

"Whereas, at a meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County,

State of Washington, held in the Commissionere~ office of said County on the 4th day of
'January, 1916, a quorum being present and a minority noting in the affirmative, the follow-
ing Resolution was adoplzed:
• RESOLVED, That the public interest demands the improvement, under the provialons of
Chapter 35 of the Laws of 1911, of that section of a public highway situate within the
County of Jefferson, and described as follows;
• Stating at the east and of the State Aid Road No 41, thence north along the present
road to the II.W. corner of the old school lot at the Little Quilcene I;iver, thence following
approximately the present road to the Snyder Hi11, thence,on the best grade possible to a u
point on the present Tarboo-Chimacum Road, at a point about one-half mile south of the
Vallad place; being in Sections 12 & 13, Twp. 27, P1.R. 2 V1, and in Sections 6,7, & 18,
•; of Twp 27 h.R. 1 W. W.M.
Being a distu.nce of about 3 miles, no part of said highway being situate within the
~.boundarisb of any city or incorporated town. !

Report of County Health Officer for the month of December, was received and ordesed

filed.
County Treasurer was authorized to purchase a typewriter fox use in his office.
• Treasurer Twee die appeared before the Board stating that it was imperative that ha ~'.
have use of the plattdd Tax rTumbers now in Assessor's office in making tax collections
during the ensuing year. Assessor Hansen refused to deliver tap the book containing these
plats ala.iming pt to be incomplete and encumbered Aith many irregularities.Chairman
Vlanarnaker advocated that the worlc be carried to completion with the assistance of the
Engineer's force. To this Mr Hansen also objected. On motion of Commissioner Bbatradr-,
~ encondod by Commissioner Eldridge a note was taken, Commissioners Boman and Eldridge
voting in the affirmative to allow the Assessor to complete the work as ha saw fit, ,
Commissioner Wanamaker voting,Ilo; and Assessor was authorized to prooure the neoesaary
aaaista;ace to make the Tax Numbers complete and available.
