The Board of Commissioners of Jefferson County, Washington, met in special oesaion in E ;their rooms at the County Court Houes at 10 A.M. Present C.I.Nanamaker, Chairman, and Commiasionerfl 1cAn.Eldridge, and P.P.Bowman, }iirrutes of previous meeting were read and approved. proposed >:totice of the Hearing for the Eatablishrnent of th~Jacob hiller Road hav~rr~ been duly ',given according to law, and there being no objections filed, either oral ox• written.The , County Engineer having filed his report in the premises together with the reap and field notes of said proposed road. On motion~the Board unanimously passed an order establishing said Jacob Miller Road. The establishment of the proposed Glen Cove and Cove !.ddition road coming on for hearing, due and legal notice of said hearing having been duly given according to law, and there being no ob,jectiona filed, either oral or written, and the County Engineer having 'filed his reports, together with the map and field notes of said proposed road, On motion the .Board unanimously passed an order establishing said Glen Cove and Cove Addition Road. Action on appropriation for the construction of said road was deferred till later. Letter from pfin.P..Roy, State Highway Commissioner, disapproving the resolutions for extensions of Permanent Highways in Jefferson County submitted to him at the last meeting of the Board, wherein he recommends the expending of the highway funds in connecting with. a.nd extending State Aid Road near Quilcene, was read and ordered placed on file. P.~Iany prominent citizens and tax payers from various parts of the eastern portion of the county appeared befo*e the Board and took part in a general discussion as to where and ~. how Permanent highway and other road funds should be expended. 1~tx Allen of the State }ligh- I ~ way Commissioner's office also being present. At 2 P.Lt. bide were opened for the Lease of the Hastings Tract for the ensuing year. Three bids were received as fmllows: Wm.A.Kuroeber bid ;17,00 for the six acres of land lying betvreen Juan De Fuca. Ave. and }Iastinga Ave,; }dra C. Kuroeber bid X55.00 for the re- maining portion of the tract; LIr S.F;.Andrewa aubruitted .a bid o•F ~',86.OU for the entire tract. Amtion was deferred till 2 P4 II. tomorrow. Talk on highway mrz4~t~tra was again resumed where left off a.t the noon ad~ourrunent and after much s.parently fruitless dissuasion, on motion of D.S.Troy i1 ceases way taken with the underata.nding that the Pen anent Fii~;}iwa.y matters be loft with the Commisaionera and lac Allen for solution, who forthwith proceeddd to the County l:ngineer'a office to hold Consultation with the air;. of reaching a aatisfaetory conc].uoion.
