Eldridge 8c 7P.P.Sate?-an. Minutes of previous meeting were redd and approved. Mr Chappelle, representing the Washington Childress Home Society of Beattie, appeared ,` before the Board explaining the magnifioient work being done by the Boaiety, and the noel ' of funds with which to carry on the work, and asking that the Soard continue the form®r policy of donating X60.00 for each child contributed by th® county. The Board acquiesced .and instructed Mr Chappelle to make out a bill covering payment for the six ohildron . recently taken over by the Home from Jefi'erson County. Wm Bishop, on rahalf of the Inter~•Tarmera Telephone Co ., appeared beforo thg Board in regard to road knoam as the Donnelly Cut-off, explaining that on account of the bad ,condition of the road repsira could no longer be made to their phone line, and as the road ~, ,;was used but little property owners were fencing p ~ ions of same. The Board stated that / 'the road had never been vacated, being closed only until such time ae funds become avail- / 'able to put same in passable condition. r?o other action was taken at this time except that ' Supervisor Coyne was instructed to have danger signs placed at each entrance to road. T~Ir I,.G.Seitzinger appeared before the Board in support of a petition signed by b4 residents of Quilcene, asking that the County road beginning at the railroad on James Maddock place in Quilcene and continuing to the Quilcene docks be rebuilt and placed in ~~ first class condition. the Board granted the request p-ro~dibional upon the petibf~onere ('securing the necessary right of way required, if any. The County Engineer was instructed `',", to survey the route and proceed with the construction of said road at his convenience. A petition signed by E.K.H~elvik and 19 other frax payers and property owners of Bxinnon, to discontinue the old road between Brinson and Quilcene from the point where it `leaven the new State road, in Sec. 24, Twp 26 N.R, 2 W., and running in a northerly direo- tion to Quilcene, was received and orderod flied. Auditor was Instructed 1;o wxite 1Qr. H,jelvik stating that the Board does not consider it to the best intoresta of Jefi'erson County to institute vacatian proccodings at this time. fir A.A.Brovm, Supervisor of Road District No. b appeared before tho 1]oard and outlined work necessary to be done in his diatriot.He also asked for a new road plow and two Ereano Scrappers, which wan granted.
