Donovan also agreed to write bir R®®der, chief Engineer of trio road, recommedding that the4 Railroad Company pay the County X1100.00 for tatting this road, and also secure for the County a 60 ft. right of way along this tr~`toh of road. The report was accepted and order®'• ed placed on file. ' Copy of Order of the State Board of Land Commissioners, granting right of gray for a county road, under application ~ b72 for an easement for right of way for a county road over and across a portion of Sec. 8, Twp. 30 N.R. 1 West, was received and ordered filed. . The Board agreed to purchase from the Olympic Hdw. Co., for the sum of ~4b0.00, the Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 &9, Block 167, Eisenbeis Addition to Port Townsend, together with the building thereon known as the Powder House. Upon presentation of proper deed and abstract { duly approved by the County Att®rney, the Auditor was instructed to draw a warrant in favor of Olympic Hdw. Co. on Co. R. & B. Fund in sum of ~4b0.00 in full payment of same. Agriculturist's reports covering the month of February, were received and ordered filed. / Coroners reports on death of Violet Campbell, Henry A. Huxford, and Andy Anderson / were received and oxdered placed on Pile. Auditor was instructed to make demand on the ' /// Puget dill Co. for $14.06, amount due Andy Anderson at the time of hie death. County Auditor reported that Herbert Solwold has accepted position as Registration Officer for Duckabush Precinct. It appearing that T11r Dedman, appointed to serve as Justice of the Peace for Clear- ` wQ.ter Precinct, is not a qualified elector of Jefferson County, the Board therefoxe en- ~ ~ nulled his appointment, and upon recommendation appointed S: E. Gei•beraon to sea•ve in his stead. It is with much regret that the Board learned of the recent death of Chas. J. Andrews, who has acted as Justice of the Peace for Clearwater Precinct for several years last passed. Communication from W.D.Hough, of Hoh, regarding conditions in Road District No. 2, was read and ordered placed on file. County Treasurer Tweedie reported that Cert. of Del. N0. 30b3 in sum of $7.41, and' subsequent Tax Receipts Nora 967 for the year 1913 amounting to ~Sb.40, and 2956 for year 191A amounting to ~4.7h, havo been paid by C.C.Henry, on Tax No. 2, Sec. 12 Tp. 29 Yi.R. ~• 1 W. ; said lands being also assessed as Irondale Acre Tracts. On the Treasurers showing, and in accordance with his reoomrnendation, the Auditor was instructed to draw a warrant / ' on Current Expense Fund in favor of C.C.Henry in sum of $2b.54 covering refund of taxes, Interest and costa in the case, and County Treasurer was instructed to cancel the 191b ti+x on said Tax No. 2 amounting to X5.46, ae same constitutes a double assessment. On showing of County Treasurer that certain timber assessed against Dwyer 8c McGill on personal Rolle is also assessed on Real Estate Rolls against Puget Mill Co., theroby constituting a double assessment. On hie recornmeddation the Board ordered trio County Treasurer to rsduoe the personal tax assessed against Messrs Dwyer & A~oGild in the sum of ~2b0.00.
