At 2 P.?d. Bids for Maintenance o2 County Poor far the ensuing yerlr, were opened. Two
bids were received: Sisters os' Charity of St Johns Hospital offered to oaro for the poor --
as stated in adv. calling for bide-- at rate of 80 cents per day each; R.C.Hi11 ofi'ered
- to perform same service at the rate of 75 aenta per d~.y each. The Board considering the bid
of R,C.Hi11 to be the lowoat a.nd beat bid accepted same, and the County Attorney was in-
structed to draw up contract to be signed by Chairman and Clerk of the Board on behalf
of Jefi'erson County.
