Washington State has mandated Open Public Meetings Act and Open Public Records Act training for
government staff and officials.Newly elected or reappointed members of Jefferson County Advisory
Boards and Commissions are also required to take this training. Please use this link to access the

Once you have completed each training,please print and sign a certificate.The County will need a copy of

You have 90 days from your reappointment date to complete this training. You must complete the training
every 4 years. If you serve on more than one advisory board you only need to complete the training once
and provide one copy of your signed certificate.

Why are you applying for this appointment?
1. To stay current on opportunities to engage on climate change and related issues.
2. To help keep EJFR engaged with collaborative efforts on mitigation and adaptation.
3. To provide the CAC with a perspective from EJFR, as it pertains to climate change hazards such as wildfire.
List your qualifications for this appointment(include skills, activities, training, etc.):
It is desireable for Advisory Board and Commission members to have a broad collective knowledge and interest
in various ethnic,religious, cultural, educational and community views. Describe your strengths in this area:
Besides the involvement described above I have ongoing interest in promoting cycling beyond the recreational
level. In addition I maintain interests and involvement in the food bank and community gardening, and in small
farms. Lastly, my interests in sailing tie me into a cornerstone of our community.
Additional information you would like to provide about yourself:
1 understand the member responsibilities,and am aware that this appointment will entail my attendance at meetings and
participation in activities of this Board/Commission. All of the information on this application is true to the best of my
knowledge.

STATEMENT OF ISSUE:
The Climate Action Committee (CAC)has three(3)positions which will expire on December 31, 2024.
All three(3)existing members would like to be reappointed to their positions.
The CAC board has approved the reappointments of the members listed above.
ANALYSIS:
The three (3) Climate Action Committee members, listed above, have submitted their requests for
reappointment to this committee. Their continued desire to service is greatly appreciated.
RECOMMENDATION
Climate Action Committee recommends that the Board approve the following:
1. Jaime Duyck—Position 12 -Three (3)year term expiring December 31, 2027
2. Krista Myers—Position 13 -Three (3)year term expiring December 31, 2027
3. Dave Seabrook- Position 15 -Three (3)year term expiring December 31, 2027
