JEFFERSON COUNTY
Monday, June 3, 1935.
The Honorable Board of C~.~ty Commissioners met in the Commissioners' Room in the
Oounty Court House, Port Townsend, Washington, on the above named date at the hour of
10 o'clock, A. M.
Present: Messrs. S. Lockhart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J. R. Cousens.
The Minutes of the May, 1936, Sessions read and approved.
Messrs. Zimmerman and Orsted appeared before the Board in reference to the closing
of a portion of the present Black.Point Road.
On Motion, duly seconded, it was ordered that County Road Ho. C-4, from Junction
of Black Point Road Extension to end of,B1ack Point Road, a distance of about 1500
feet be closed to all classes of vehicles, from the 3rd day of June, 1935, until further
order of the Board of County Commissioners, and that permission be granted to erect a
gate at the junction of said road.
The Board recessed at 12 o'clock, noon to meet at 2 o'clock, P. M.
The Board reconvened at 2 a/clock, P. M., with all members present.

It being the time set for a further hearing on the propriety of the sale of the
Fair Grounds, Mr. Hunt appeared with Mr. Pennell. After discussion it was. regularly
woved, seconded, and ordered that the property known as the County Fair Grounds be with-
dra~n from. sale at the present time.
The Board Vla.s informed that the Lease, dated August 9, 1933, of all of the North
oneehalf of the Southwest Quarter, Section 22, Township 27 North, RanSe 2 West, W. M.,
was renewed by the U. S. Forest Service for a period ending June 30, 1936, at the rental
of ~lO.OO per year.
COli~unications from the Director of Highways approvine Resolutions in reference to
Secondary Road Projects Nos. 12, 14 and 15, were received and ordered placed on file.
Communicstion from the Attorney General to the County Frosocutine Attorney in ref-
erence to Section 7, amending Section 17 of Chapter 41, Session Laws of 1935, was re-
ceived and.orderod placed on file for future action.
COlUIDunication from ltir. S. E. Hutton, State Director NRS, enclosing Bulletin 8"23,
in reforence to the functions and activities of the NRS was received and ordered placed
on file.
Mr. Langtry of the United Pacific Casualty Co., and Mr. Geo. Welch appeared before
the Board in NJference to the insurance on County Road Equipmant.
