WHEREAS, it is necessary to provide for the control of the waters of the several
rlvers of Jefferson County and to provide fo~ the alleviation of recurring floo~ damages
to public and private property, and
~HEREAS applications are herewith submitted for projects involving such work to
aeccmpl1~~ the d8a1r~d reGult~,;nd
WHERBAS the projecta are useful and needed public works, and
WHEREAS the projects will afford employment to a large number of persons on relief
roUs, and
Whereas Jefferson Co~~ty will participate in the furtherance of these projects by
supplying the necessary equipment and tools that is within the financial limits of
the County to so supply, and
WHEREAS Jefferson County will furnish, without cost to the United statjs, all lands
and easements necessary to the execution of the proposed works,
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that we the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson
County do hereby authorize the submitted applications as hereintofore stated.
