The Honorable Board of County Commias1oners met in the Commissioners' Room in the
County Court House at Port Townsend~ Washington: on the ~bo?e na~ed date, at tha ho~
of 10 o'clook, A. M.
Present: Messrs. S. Lockliart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J. R. Cousens.
Minutes of the September, '1935, SeSSions, read and approved.
Moved, Seconded, and so ordered: That the timber on the NE~ of the ME! of Sec-
tiQn 20, Township 25 North,'Range 2 Wast, ba sold to R. W. Kelly for the sum of Fifty
Dollars.
Moved, Seconded, and so Ordered, that the Lease of the South Four-ninths of Lot
4, Section 6, Township 29 North, Range l"East, to W. G. Fenderson, dated Ootober 3,
1928, be further extended for 1 year from October 3, 1935, at an annual rental of
$1.00.
A delegation appeared before the Board and presented a petition for the appointment
of a County Agent. No action taken and the Petition was placed on file.
On Motion, duly seconded, the Board recessed at 12 o!clock, noon, to meet at
2 o'Clock, P. M.
The Board reconvened at 2 o'Clock, P. M., with all members present.
wn Motion, duly seconded, the following Agreement and Resolutions were unan~~ously
adopted:
AGREEMENT BY 1mNICIPALITY. OR POLITICPJL SUBDIVISION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AI1D 1~N-
TENANCE OF HIGIDVAYS IMPROVED UlIDER THE E1~RGENCY APPROPRIATION AOT OF 1935.
The CotUlty of Jefferson, State of Washington, hereinafter referred to as Jefferson
County, and the Department of Highways, State of WaShington, hereinafter referred to
as the Highway Department, hereby agree as follows:
1. That the IIighway Department will submit a project for the improvement of 1.02
miles of the Quilcene to Center highway, from Sta. 0+00 to Sta. 54+00, kl!own as Secondary
Road Project #17, and to be dasignated as
Project No.._and will recommend
its approval by the Secretary of Agriculture for construction with funds apportioned
to the State under the Em,ergency Relief Appropriation Act of 1935; subject, however,
to the condition that the County of Jefferf.lon shall p:'ovlde for its proper nle.:tntenl!.nce
after completion of its improvemente
20 That there be and is hereby set aside from ~he Secondary Highway Fund to the
credit of Jefferson Coullty, the oum of F1fte&n Hundred dollar~, or so nmch as may be
neCGssary to complete the pro,1ect, said funds to he ",-pp11ed in ooopcra'tivo o:'1>OnditUl'6
with the U. S. Works Progrem Highway Funds allocated to said CQunty, in the construction
