RESOLUTION # 37
WHEREAS an agreement by Resolution has been exeouted by the Board of County ao~-
missione~s of Jefferson C~unty applying funds from the'SeoondQ~1 Highway Fund in 00-
operative uxpenditure with the U. S. Works Program Highway funds in the oonstruction
of Seoondary Road Projeot No. 17, and
\1HEREAS the amount of monies so set aside shall be e~ended from tho Seoondary
Highway upon an monthly estimate or partial amount thereof, approved by the Director
of Highways,

BE IT THEREv'ORE RESOLVED the Board of County Commissioners of Jeffercon County,
do hereby authorize the payment of said estimate or partial amount thereof, in the
amount of monies so set aside from the Secondary Highway funds for the purpose aforesaid
mentioned.

RESOLUTION NO. 38
WHEREAS it i8 to the best interests of the people of Jefferson County that the
portion of the Seoondary Road system of Jefferson County known as the Mats Mats,ro~d,
be improved under the Secondary Highway Specifications, and
\VHEREAS, the Public Interests of the People of Jefferson County demand the improve-
ment or said highway, and
WHEREAS the present condition of the Mats Mats road is unsuitable to meet the

traffic demands, and
MIEREAS it is necessary to ~econatruct portions of said road to satlsfy the
traff:l,c demands
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Mats Mats road from its interseotion with
the Port L1.1dlow-Swanaonville road, thence in a no!'therly direction a distanoe of approx-
imately or 4500 fe!)t be improved undsr the provis:l.oTAll of Chapter 111, of the Laws of
1935,
