The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in the ComID1asioners' Room in the
COlUlty Court House in PD~t Townsend, Washington, on the above ~amed date, at the hour
of 10 o'olock, A. M.
Presents Messrs. S. Lookhart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J. R. Cousens.
The Minutes of the Ootober, 1936, Sessions, read and approved.
The Board verified the Cash on hand in the various funds of the County, and oer-
tified that the balance on hand as of October 9, 1935, to be $23,587.14, as per quarterly
statement of the County Treasurero (Omitted from Ootober Minutes.)
Mr. Wm. Becker, Kalaloch, appeared before the Board in reference to a proposed
bridge across the Queets Rivero
On Motion, duly Seconded, the following Agreement was unanimously approved by
the Boards

AGREE~~NT BY ~WNICIPALITY OR POLITICAL SUBDIVISION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION lUrn 14AINe
TENANCE OF HIGHWAYS IMPROVED UNDER THE EMERGENCY RELIEF APPROPRIATION ACT OF 1935.
The County of Jefferson, State of WaShington, hereinafter referred to as Jefferson
County, and the Dept. of Highways, State of Wash., hereinafter referred to as the High-
way Departme~t, hereby agree as follows:
1. That the Hi&~uay Depa~tment will subnut a project for the improvement of 1.02

miles of the,Quilcene to Center highway, from Quilcene to 1 mile North, known as Quil-

cent to Center Road, and to be designated as Secondary Road Project No. 17, and will
r~command itq approval by the Secretary.of Agr1cul~e for construction with funds
apportioned to the State under the Emergenoy Relief Appropriation Act of 1935; subjeot,
however, to the condition that Jefferson County shall provide for its proper maintenance
after completion of ita improvement.
2. That there be and is hereby set aside from the Secondary Highway Fund to the
oredit of Je~ferBon County, the sum of Twenty.seven Hundred ($2700.00) dollars, or so
mucll as may 00 neceasary to complete the project, said funds to be appli~d in coopera-
tive expendi~ure with the U. S. Works frogram Highway Funds allooated to said COlL~ty,

3. Thn~ the Dopartment of Highways of the State of Washington be and is ~ereby
authorizad an~ requested to not for and on behalf of Jefferson .County in ~ll things per-
