JEfFERSON COUNTY
Monday, Deoember 2, 1935.
TIle Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in the Commissionersl Room in the
County Court House in Port Townsend, Washington, on the above named date, at the hour
of 10 o'olock, A. M.
Presents Messrs., S. Lookhart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J.' R. Cousens.
The Minutes of the Ootober, 1935, Sessions read Bnd Bpproved.
Mr. W. J. Daay, City Attorney, appeared before the Board with an application to rltn

off, from a point near Four Corners to. e. connection with the present water lino to Hadlock
and Ironde.le, and on, Motion, dUly Seconded, pe~lsslon wae granted to the City of Port
Townsend to lay the pipe as requested,.wlth the provision, however, that th~ road must
not be damaged and must be plaoed in the exact condition as it was previous to the work,
subject to the final approval of the Board.
On Motion, duly,Seoonded, the Bid, of Allan & Govan for the oonstruction of Secondary
Highway No. 14, submitted November 23, 1935, was accepted at their bid of $31,978b20.
Mr. James Fullerton appeared before the Board and requested a lease on County ovmed

property, for the purpose of prospecting for oil, gas fuld coal. On motion: duly seconded,
-the matter was referred to the County Attorney.
On Motion, duly Seconded, it was ordered that the Board did not elect to proceed II
to have the dogs listed outside of the corporate limits of Port ~o~nsend as provided under !I
Cbapter 95, Par. 1, Session Laws of 1935, for the yeav 1936, and that the Clerk so notify I~
the County Treasurer.
Mr. Tom Trumbull, Attorney, appeared before the Boa.rd and requested the Boardls conser.
to have the Taxes due by the Port Townsend Southern Railway anlounting to $17,048.21 for th
years 1931, 1932, 1933 and 1934, reduced, and that the County Treasurer aocept a check for
$5000.00 in full pa~jl11ent of the Taxes due Jefferson County.
On Motion, duly Seconded, it was or'del'ed that the Board rafuse to accept the prope-
oition as submitted by Mr. Trumbull, and that it would not recommend any reduction in
