JEFFERSON COUNTY
Monday, January 4, 1937.
The Honorable Board of County Commissioners mot in ragular Session in the Com-
missioners' Room at the County Court House in PQrt Townsend, Washington, on the above
named date, at the hour of 10 o'clook, A. M.
Present. Messrs. S. Lockhart, Chairman, Roy L. ~ordby and J. R. Cousens.
The Minutes of the December, 1936, Sessions road and approved.
On Motion, duly seoonded, the following Resolution wlla unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS, during the time when the Hon. E. F. Benker oooupied the offioe of Direotor
of t~a papartment of Conservation and Development of the state of Washington, the Board
of County Commissioners for Jefferson County had amplo opportunity to observe the able
manner in which the duties and functions of government imposod upcn that dep~rtment were
carried out and perfo~ed, and,
\VHEREAS, during the past four years, in matters affeoting the State of WaShington,
and more particularly the County of Jefferson and ,all tho poople thereof, the said E.

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of this Board of County Commissioners that II
since the resignation of the said E. F. Banker as Director of Conse~vation and vevelopmen1
'chat, His Excellency Clarence D. Mar~in, Governor of the State of Washington, hQS not
made permanent appointment to that office, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Co,mnissionera fol' Jel'l'erson county, Washington'
that it is the sense of this board that re-appointment of tho said E. P. Bsnker to the
office of Direotor of the Department of Con~ervatlon and Development is in the publio in-
terest, and,.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certifi~d copy of this ~esolution bo tranomitted to
His Excellency Clarence D. M~rtln, Governor of the stete ot W~~hir~ton et Olympia; Waehe
ington.
