JEFFERSON COUNTY
I:
WHEREAS, It 1s'deemed desirable to avoid further controversy and that the valua-
tion of said timber lands should be agreed upon and fixed;'and
WHEREAS, After due deliberation and consideration of all the facts and evidenoe
and after being fully advised by counsel for the >>efendants;
It is the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County that
it will be to the beat 1nter6~t~ of Jefferson County to compromise and determine the

demand of said Plaintiffs, as set forth in said Buit on the basis hereinafter Bet
forth;
NOW, THERE~'ORE, BE It Resolved by the Board of'County Commissioners of Jefferson
County that the Prosecuting Attorney of Jefferson County be, and he hereby is, author-
ized and empowered to compromise and settle said suit by stipulating and consenting
to a judgment and decree to be entered therein effecting a reduction of $1200.00 in
taxes and interest for the years involved, including interest to August 15th, 1936.
Proper valuations to be arrived at effecting'such reduction.

The Board reconvened on the above named date at the hour of 10 o'clOCk, A. M.,
with all members present.
The Monthly Reports of the County Health Officer and County Nurse received, and
ordered placed on file.
On Motion, duly Seconded, it was ordered that $15.00 per month be granted to Mrs.
Carrie Compton, -and Ivan Guptill be increased $5.00 per month.
