The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in the Commissioners' Room in
the County Court House, Port Townsend, Washington~ on the above named date at the
hour of 10 oVclock, A. M.
Presents Messrs. S. Lockhart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J. R.. Cousens.
Minutes of the February>> lS37, Sessions read and approved.
On Motion, duly seconded, it was ordered that the Bid of E. B. Helgren Plumbing
& Heating for $650.00 for the installation of closets and basins in the Jefferson
County Jail pe aocepted.
On Moti,pn, duly seoonded, it was ordered that Mrs. Annie Halvorsen, Quilcene"
be granted a: Blind Pension from March 1, 1937.
On Motion, duly seoonded, it was ordered that the timber and piling on the SE~
of Seotion 25, Township 29 North, Range 2 West, be sold to Stillman C. Brown at the
rate of 50 o~nts per cord for old growth and 1 oent per foot for piling.
The foliowing communications were read and ordered placed on file: Dr. J. W.
Doughty, re Florence Hallier, Indigent; State Highway Engineer, apprOVing Plans and
Specifications for Secondary Road Projeots No. 21, 23 (units one and two); and Ex-
tension Serv~oe Agent reo County Agent.
Monthly. Report of the County Health Officer read and ordered placed on file.
On Motion, duly seconded; it was ordered that the Bid of $94.50 for Re-wiring

the Jefferson County Jail by the Precision Radio & Electric Company be accepted.
On motion, duly seconded, it was ordered that the Board proceed to Olympia for
oonference with the State Highway Direotor on Tuesday, Maroh 2, 1937; and reoonvene
on Wednesday, March 3, 1937, at 10 o'clook, A. M.

The Boa~d reconvened on the above named date at the hour of 10 o'ClOCk, A. M.,
wi th all mEllJlbers present.
On Motion; duly seoondod, it was ordered that a 1937 Plymouth Sedan be purchased
from Widner Motor Company for the County Sheriff. T.rade in value for old 1935 Plymouth,
$578.00 and Cash $370.00. Car to be fully equipped.
A Petition, signed by 18 taxpayors, was received, requesting the vaoation of the
street lying betwe6n Bloclcs one and two of H. \'I. Campbell's Addition to Qllllc~M; f~cm
State Road NQ. 9 to MoArdle Avenue, and that said vacation beoome a part of ' the sohool
