County Road No. l-A oommencing at ita intersection with County Road Noo 47-47A
(Key.mes Lr.ndine to Irondale Hoad) 1n the Northenst Quarter of the Southeast Quarter
(Goverrunent Lot. 4), Section 32, Tovmahjp 30 North, RanGe 1 West, W. M., thence north-
westerly and No~tl1erly to ita end in the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter
of said S~ction 32.
Tllia franchise is granted upon tho following terms and conditions:
In all placos where said roads ere forty (40) feet in widtll, the poles and equipmont
for such transmission line shall be maintained at least sixteen (16) feet from the center
of said road, and in all cases where said roads are sixty (60) foet in width, said poles
and equipment for said transmission lines shall be maintained at leRst twenty-six (26)
feet from the center thereof. Vlhenever any of said roads shall be changed by order of the
Board of County Commissioners, said grantee agrees, upon sixty (60) days' notice in
writing of suoh change, to change its transmission lines to conform to said changes in
said roads, at its ovrn expense.
Vlhenever the County of Jefferson Desires to remove or destroy any trees or stumps
standing or being on e:ny pE',rt of the said ronds or h1.ghways, along or upon which any of
said poles or wires are constructed, or being maintained, it may do so by blasting with
powder or some other explosive substance, n~withstanding the possible danger to seid
poles or wires thereby; provided, however, that reasonable notice of intention of so doing

order that it or they may take steps to properly care for and protect the said poles or
wires or the service thereby being performed.
Said grantee agrees to hold the County of Jefferson har.mless and free of all costs
and expense by reason of accid0nts experienced or caused by the construct1.on or operation
of said transmission lines. And said Grantee agrees to hold the said COttnty of Jefferron
harmless and freo of all costs and expense or dronages of any kind whatsoever, experienced
or caused by reason of the exercise by ~ranteo of any of the rights herein granted.

The ~rantoe shall COnIDlenCe construction work under this franchise within one year
from the date herflof. If at the expiration of five Y3ars from the date of this fran-
chise there shull bo any stroet, avenue, alley, pnblic place, or publiC road or highway,
