G. Sharp end others from Brinnon appeared and protested the forming of the said District. 1.11'. John ScIullocker, Leland, Il!:t'. B. S. IClock, Hadlock, Mrs. Msmie Maus, Center and !,;r. John A1tmayor, Port Lud10\v, appeared in favor of suid formation of a Live Stock District. After due considero.tio n of the matter it was regularly moved by 1~. Cousens, Seconded by Mr. Norc:.b-;y-, OP..DEEED: That all that part of Jefferson County, Washine;ton, lyine; east of Range 4 West, W. 1.1., excepting the City of Port 'rownsend, Washington, be established as a TIerd District for the prevention of Live stock running at large, and said Order to be effective on the 5th. day of July, A. D., 1938. A Petition from Chims.culU Grange 681 for a Gar'i::lage Dump at Chimacum was referred to the County Sheriff for .the enforcement of the order passed by the Board of County Commissioners I settinG aslde the gravel Pit at Chimacum for a Garbage Dump. A Petition from Tide Land ~r.ners of Nord1and for the construction of a passage so as 1& I- to allow tl~ tide to ebb and flow between Oak and Scow Bays, was referred to the Engineer. Request from the County Nurse for permission to employ a clerk to assist her in the proparation of her annual reports end records was granted. The Board confirmed its V9~- ba1 Dl'lswer of !.lay 26, 1938, to permit the Hurse to engage a suitable person at a salary of ~~30.00 per month fror.l June 1, 1938.
