JEFFERSON COUNTY
Tuesday, Jmluary 3, 1939.
The Honorable Board of County Commissioners met in regular session in the Commission-
ers' Room in the County Court House at Port To\vnaend, Washington, on ,the above named
dQte, at the hour of 10 o'clook, A. M.
Present: Messrs. S. Lookhart, Chairman, Roy L. Nordby and J. R. Cousens.
Minutes of the Deoember, 1938, Sessions, read and approved.
On l~otion, duly s,eoonded, the old Danoa Hall and Restaurant Buildings on the Fair
Grounds were sold to ~. A. ~inckley for the sum 01' $30.00; subjeot to his obtaining Lots
in Phillips Bay Addition as EPplied .~ore
Letter from A. W., Schrodt, Clearwater, in referenoe to dead tree along highway, was
referred to the County Engineer.
Letter from R. J., Ultican enClosing oopy of a petition signed by the Queets Indians
for secession from Jefferson County, was referred to the inooming Board of County Cam-
mis sioners.
On Motion, duly seconded, the following Resolution Was une.nLuously adopted by the
Board:
RESOLUTION NO. 69.
WHEREAS, it now appears to the Board of County Connnissioners of Jefferson County,
State of Washington, that the Budget Appropriation ~or the year 1938 is not sufficient
to meet extraordin~'y and unfors6en obligations contracted to be paid in said year, and
that a. public emergency now exists for that purpose, THEREFORE.

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County, State of
Washington, in regular Session assembled, that there be, and hereby is appropriated for
the Current Expense Fund, Twenty-five Hundred Fifty and nO/100 ($2,550.00) Dollars, appor-
tioned as follows:

Court House
Salaries
Operation & Maintenance

Advertising & Publications 800.00
and the County Auditor of Jefferson County, Wushineton, be, and he is hereby authorized
to issue Emergency Warrants upon said Current Expense Fund not exoeeding the dot ailed a-
mounts aforesaid, and
