that the Secretary of War shall have authority to permit the extension of oounty roads
aoross military reservations \Vh~er in his judgment the same Can be done without injury
to the reservation or inoonvenienoe to the military foroes stationed thereon. Under

the above prOVisions of law, the Board of County Commissioners of Jefferson County. in
the State of Washlngton, request a revooable lioense to construct and maintain a publio
h1ghway ot ~a1d Jefferson County across the ~occupied military reservation ltnown as
Beokett's Hill, being the si of the SEi ~f Seotion 13 and the NEi of Section 24, To~shiP
3.0 N. R. 1 West, Willemette Meridian as shovm on the attaOhed plat and hy the reoorded
land rooords in said County. The strip of land desired is 3.0 feet wide and approximately
27.00 feot long.
2. It is understood that the work permitted to be done shall be. subjeot to the
approval of the proper military authorities and that said ro~d shall be kept in a
thorough state of ropair at all times by, the County aut.'1.orlties.
